Layers: The background images are roadside views from a trip to visit friends at their cottage in February of 2020. The bubble images are ones that I took in our living room. Within the bubbles are clouds from Nova Scotia, golden Tamarack trees from New Brunswick, fallen leaves on a morning hike in Quebec, and a gorgeous fox from Cape Breton Island - all images taken during our October 2025 East Coast road trip. The fluffy “snowflakes” are light reflected in a textured window that I photographed during an artist residency on Toronto Island in the spring of 2025. There’s an image of magical golden sparkle from an orgonite pyramid, as well as flakes of imitation gold applied to the finished piece, in between coats of varnish.
