Layers: The main background image is a roadside view on our way to go visit my sister and her family one winter. The bubble images are ones that I took in our living room (having pushed all of the furniture out of the way so it didn’t show in the reflection; what does show are the living room windows). Within the bubbles are parts of underwater plant life, which I photographed one rainy summer day while visiting friends at a cottage in the Haliburton area. The clouds are a view from an airplane, during a flight to Nova Scotia to visit my mom in the fall of 2017. The sparkles are sunlight reflecting off the water in Bear River, NS, another trip to visit my mom in the fall of 2025. There are flakes of imitation gold applied to the finished piece, in between coats of varnish.
