This piece is an image of a stunning dahlia from our garden, in the process of blooming. I loved seeing the dahlias open up (this was my first time ever growing this tricky flower), and especially enjoyed the feeling of optimistic potential in these early phases. Each one looked slightly different as it opened, having a unique shape before fully blossoming.
